Robert Wells and Mel Torme didn't like something about the reality they saw the day they created this famous song.
They used their creativity and imagination to see a different reality other than the one right in front of them. Why? They didn't like what they saw that day. Guess what? The song was completed in 40 minutes. Their creativity helped them feel better that day. The possibility that was the result of creativity became something truly of merit. It became one of the most performed Christmas songs of all time.
Perhaps today's song will help you find some joy. Let go and remember the child inside of you through whom your imagination flows.

Creativity /ˌkrēāˈtivədē/
Creativity is defined as the use of the imagination resulting in the creation of something new and potentially valuable. We identify new possibilities through creativity. Innovation flows from creativity. Innovation is creativity actualized into reality. Our imagination provides the seeds of tomorrow's reality.
Life unfolding, a world full of sadness, challenges and disappointment can cause us to shut down our creativity. As we grow older, the imagination we used so freely in childhood can become a long, distant memory. The uncertainty of today provides us with an infinite number of blank canvases through which we can use creativity and imagination to fuel innovation.
What could happen if we kept our creativity and imaginations alive?
After a year of global pandemic, economic turbulence, death, illness and fast changes, it seems like an odd time to talk about creativity and imagination. Yet - it is the perfect time. This is the moment we have, and it will never come again.
Carpe Diem! Seize the Day!
Lyrics
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeers really know how to fly
And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you
And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you.
