The Power of Voice & Purpose: Celebrating the Emerging Voice of a Client Gone Author

“I've started my journey of learning English as a second language when I was six years old in my home country. I was enrolled in a bilingual school, which its primary teaching technique was: memorization.

Since I got my Law degree, I've been working in international companies; however, my struggle to communicate with others in English started to be more noticeable when I moved to Houston, TX. It was when two of my mentors suggested that I needed to go back to English classes that I decided to ask for support.

I wanted to choose differently this time, but I felt insecure because I didn't know other learning techniques besides memorization.

I enrolled myself in private lessons at Performance Communication. My instructor showed the ability to identify the areas where I was struggling and assisted me in finding the confidence to find my own solutions. We practiced grammar during our classes, but I was not asked to memorize the rules this time.

After I finished my lessons, my curiosity about learning the English language has increased, and I've been savoring the experience. I feel grateful for having Mariam's team in my journey of connecting with others by using the English language.”

I love what I get to do every day. It gives meaning to my life. It makes me jump out of bed and smile at the end of the day.

More Than Language—The Power of Voice as a Leadership Tool

Brenda’s journey is one that many leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs experience when navigating high-stakes communication.

For years, she did what many non-native English speakers do: she memorized language structures without fully owning her voice. It wasn’t until she took a different approach—one focused on confidence, strategy, and connection—that she was able to truly integrate her communication skills into who she was as a leader.

This isn’t just about learning English. It’s about finding your voice in the world—a skill that leaders, sales professionals, and entrepreneurs alike must develop to create lasting impact.

Beyond Memorization: How Strategic Learning Fuels Confidence & Leadership Fluency

Many professionals know their industries, have exceptional expertise, and bring high-value insights—but struggle to communicate their brilliance effectively.

Whether it's a language barrier, a fear of public speaking, or struggling to command authority in a global setting, the ability to use your voice strategically makes all the difference.

Brenda’s experience highlights a core philosophy of TPCC:

✔️ We convert knowledge into skill and transform how you use those skills at a performance level.

✔️ We don’t focus on just communication—we focus on measurable and sustainable impact.

Your Voice Is Your Power—How Are You Using It?

Brenda said yes to investing in herself. She turned a communication challenge into an opportunity for transformation—a shift that ultimately unlocked new doors in her career and personal growth.

Now, she’s a published author, a facilitator for global businesses, and a leader in her field—not just because she learned a new language, but because she mastered the art of communication.
